Beginning in June 2025, the Missions and Community Impact Team of the Centennial Baptist Association begins a partnership with Micah and Chloe Smith. We believe it is important for us to support those God calls out of our association to plant churches and share the Gospel. Through the support of churches and associations, Micah and Chloe are hoping to raise enough support to be able to serve in Lincoln Nebraska through the Salt Network and Citylight Lincoln. Their focus will be on college ministry with the hope to eventually plant a church.

I grew up in Thomaston as a pastor's kid, shaped by the teaching and influence of my parents, Joey and Julie Smith, and East Thomaston Baptist Church. During college, I began working as an intern at First Baptist Woodstock, where I felt called to vocational ministry—primarily through God’s Word, my pastor’s guidance, and the input of my now-wife, Chloe.
Since then, God has led me to focus on church planting and college ministry through the Salt Network, a network of churches partnered with NAMB to plant churches near college campuses and make disciples through the local church across America.
My next step in church planting is a residency at Citylight Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. After completing my residency, my goal is to launch a Salt Company (college ministry) at a church plant within two years and, within 7–8 years, plant a church within the network
I’m currently developing a network of ministry partners through support raising and would love to see if the town/association where I was saved and grew up would be interested in sending and partnering with me in support raising and prayer for the next two years through my residency.
